Abstract
Eggs of the greater wax moth, Galleria mellonella (L.), and the Angoumois grain moth, Sitotroga cerealella (Olivier), were evaluated as hosts for mass-rearing Trichogramma pretiosum Riley, T. evanescens Westwood, and T. minutum auctt., not Riley 1871. Numbers of female T. pretiosum and T. evanescens produced from eggs of the 2 hosts did not differ significantly, but S. cerealella produced twice as many T. minutum as did G. mellonella . Female wasps reared from eggs of the greater wax moth traveled 5.6–6.4 cm/min faster and lived 6.1–11.1 h longer than those from eggs of the Angoumois grain moth. Keywords
