Abstract
Presentation of CaseAn 83-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of anemia and azotemia.She was in vigorous health until 30 months earlier, when she noticed a lump near the left axilla. A physician found a mass near the axillary tail of the left breast, and microscopical examination of a biopsy specimen of the mass showed large-cell lymphoma. A radionuclide scan of the liver and spleen and bilateral mammographic examinations, performed elsewhere, were reported to be negative, and the patient was referred to this hospital.
