Measurement of Branching Fractions for $B \to π π$ , $K π$ , and $KK$ Decays

We report measurements of the branching fractions for

B^{0} \to π^{+} π^{-}

K^{+} π^{-}

K^{+} K^{-}

, and

K^{0} π^{0}

and

B^{+} \to π^{+} π^{0}

K^{+} π^{0}

K^{0} π^{+}

, and

K^{+} {\bar{K}}^{0}

, based on

10.4 {fb}^{- 1}

of data collected on the

ϒ (4 S)

resonance with the Belle detector. We find

B (B^{0} \to π^{+} π^{-}) = ({0.56}_{- 0.20 - 0.05}^{+ 0.23 + 0.04}) \times 10^{- 5}

B (B^{0} \to K^{+} π^{-}) = ({1.93}_{- 0.32 - 0.06}^{+ 0.34 + 0.15}) \times 10^{- 5}

B (B^{+} \to K^{+} π^{0}) = ({1.63}_{- 0.33 - 0.18}^{+ 0.35 + 0.16}) \times 10^{- 5}

B (B^{+} \to K^{0} π^{+}) = ({1.37}_{- 0.48 - 0.18}^{+ 0.57 + 0.19}) \times 10^{- 5}

, and

B (B^{0} \to K^{0} π^{0}) = ({1.60}_{- 0.59 - 0.27}^{+ 0.72 + 0.25}) \times 10^{- 5}

. We also set upper limits on the branching fractions for

B^{+} \to π^{+} π^{0}

B^{0} \to K^{+} K^{-}

, and

B^{+} \to K^{+} {\bar{K}}^{0}
