Abstract
The elastic scattering of 150-Mev negative pions by complex nuclei was experimentally studied by the use of energy-sensitive Čerenkov detectors with a pulse-height analyzer. The elastic scattering could be distinguished from inelastic processes within the 10-Mev resolution width of these detectors. The differential cross sections of carbon, aluminum, copper, and lead were measured at angles between 18.5° and 43.6°. In addition, measurements on carbon and lead were extended to large angles between 45° and 139°.Keywords
