Abstract
By employing the current-algebra—PCAC (partial conservation of axial-vector current) program at the hadron level, the three decays are reasonably described in terms of only one fitted parameter of expected small 6% magnitude. Other parameters needed in the analysis, the baryon octet and decuplet weak transitions , , and , are completely constrained from weak decays and independently from the quark model. The radiative decay amplitude and asymmetry parameters are then determined in terms of no free parameters.
