ΩandΣ+pγnonleptonic weak decays via current algebra, partial conservation of axial-vector current, and the quark model

Abstract
By employing the current-algebra—PCAC (partial conservation of axial-vector current) program at the hadron level, the three decays ΩΞ0π, Ξπ0, ΛK are reasonably described in terms of only one fitted (ΔI=12)(ΔI=32) parameter of expected small 6% magnitude. Other parameters needed in the analysis, the baryon octet and decuplet weak transitions B|HWPC|B, D|HWPV|B, and D|HWPC|B, are completely constrained from BBπ weak decays and independently from the quark model. The Σ+pγ radiative decay amplitude and asymmetry parameters are then determined in terms of no free parameters.
