Abstract
On the Structure of Parameres, Phallus, and Genital Capsule of the Lygaeinae and Systematic Notes on the Subfamily (Heteroptera, Lygaeidae)Based on a study of representatives of more than 40 genera of the subfamily Lygaeinae, the parameres, the phallus, and the genital capsule are described. The importance of these characters for the classification of the Lygaeinae and the possible grouping within this subfamily are discussed. Conflicting views concerning the possible relationship of the subfamily are mentioned. Several terms used by some other authors are synonymized. Keywords
