Abstract
In adrenals of rats steroid-sulphatase (sterol-sulphate sulfohydrolase, EC 3.1.6.2) has been demonstrated with the substrate dehydroepiandrosterone (DHA)- sulphate. Electron microscopically this steroid-sulphatase is located at the tubulus membranes of mitochondria. The intertubular matrix and the outer membrane of mitochondria do not contain any DHA-sulphatase activity. Keywords
