REPEATED CYANIDE CONVULSIONS WITHOUT CENTRAL NERVOUS PATHOLOGY

Abstract
In order to evaluate the potential hazards to man of the intraven. admn. of convulsive doses of cyanide, it was necessary to establish by animal experimentation that irreversible changes of the C. N. S. would not occur. The authors found that NaCN administered rapidly intraven. so as to produce 9-64 convulsions and not more than 1 convulsion/day, induced no histologically demonstrable changes in the C. N. S. of cats.
