Abstract
Sources of intrinsic limitations in the use of electromagnetic displacement transducers (capacitive and inductive) are investigated. These limitations arise from effects caused by motion of the transducer’s electromagnetic field due to its own displacement. At sufficiently high-mechanical frequencies such motions modify in a nonlinear manner the output characteristics of the transducers and produces dynamic hysteresis effects. Keywords
