Abstract
The evaluation of clinical competence of nursing students is often considered subjective and inconsistent. To avoid these pitfalls, the author developed criteria for a five-point rating scale for evaluation of student clinical performance. This rating system may be applied to any professional behavior and provides the student with diagnostic feedback as well as a fair assessment of performance. Keywords
