Abstract
By using only females individually attractive to males during that time of night when most matings occur, the writers were able in one season to recover the substance that attracts the male to the female tobacco hornworm (Protoparce sexta (Johannson)) and to demonstrate that the attractive substance was present in the experimental material as well as in a chemical extract of that material. The procedure used to recover the sex attractant is described. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
