Analysis of exploratory, manipulatory, and curiosity behaviors.

Abstract
Exploration, manipulation, and curiosity are classified as attention. Experimental analysis of both temporal and spatial change in stimulation in arousing attention shows a common psychological basis, change or discrepancy, which can possibly be interpreted and measured in Coombsian terminology. On a molar level conditions are difined for the arousal and loss of attention. Fundamental to the molar analysis is "...the ability of stimuli to increase the psychological complexity of the individual who perceives them." 20 references.
