Abstract
Of serum samples taken from 200 patients with uncomplicated gonorrhea, 35% showed positive complement-fixation reactions with gonococcal antigen. The reaction was positive in 59% of women and in only 21% of men. However, of the sera from 100 patients with complications of gonorrhea, the test was positive in 65%. In control sera from 158 persons without gonorrea, only two tests were positive and these in patients with chronic bronchitis. Keywords
