Analysis of the Processes of Magnetic Reversal in Hard Magnetic Ferrites

Abstract
The remanence method of Wohlfarth used for the analysis of the interaction in hard magnetic materials is extended to the investigation of complete measurements of the inner loops. It is possible to demonstrate on anisotropic strontium ferrite samples with different values of the intrinsic coercivity that the degree of the reversibility of the corresponding magnetization changes may be established by determining the loop area of partial cycles. Simultaneously in this way the change of the influence of interaction and proportion of magnetic reversal respectively by Bloch‐wall movement dependent on coercivity is ascertained quantitatively. The differing shape of the virgin curves may be easily interpreted by the results of these investigations.
