Abstract
3 vars. of head lettuce and one of leaf lettuce required B for normal growth. The deficiency of B in cultures caused a burning of the leaves and the death of the growing points at an early stage of development. The function of B in the metabolism of the lettuce plant is not performed by Mn, Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Ba, Sr, I, or As.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
