Abstract
Values for the dielectric constant and loss factor, respectively the real and imaginary parts of the relative permittivity, were determined for the bodies of adult rice weevils and for the kernels of hard red winter wheat at a frequency of 9.4 GHz. Several studies are cited in which this type of information is useful, and the techniques for obtaining the dielectric properties of such materials are described. Keywords
