Abstract
Preview Idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome, a disorder of the hematopoietic system, may cause multiple organ dysfunction, particularly of the heart, lungs, and nervous system. The disease has a variable prognosis, and current treatment is based on the severity of organ involvement. The authors describe a relatively benign case in a 71-year-old man and also discuss treatment options for more severe disease. Keywords
