Phonons, saddle points, and resonances in Nb

Abstract
The dip observed in the [100] branch in Nb and its absence in Mo is ascribed to the intervalley electron-phonon scattering of electrons near the saddle points at ; to states near (but outside the Fermi surface) and corresponding symmetry combinations.
