Transitions and duality in gauge lattice systems

Abstract
A new form of the pure gauge lattice action is proposed. It is expected to allow the study of the confined phase up to weak couplings. The daulity transformation is built for all Abelian groups and is used to prove the existence of a transition between confined and nonconfined phases for dimension .
