Abstract
A left occipito-parietal meningioma was the apparent cause of verbal alexia as-sociated with complete right hemianopia, mild dysgraphia and dyscal-culia, and anomalous color perception. There was gross derangement of scanning movements and fixations in reading. The findings of this case suggest that alexia is a syndrome of the dominant occipital lobe. Keywords
