Abstract
.The 13C n.m.r. spectra of the glycoalkaloids solasonine and tomatine, as well as of their naturally occurring aglycones solasodine and tomatidine, were recorded and the signals assigned completely. The carbon shifts confirm the proposed stereochemistry at the spiro ring junction. Keywords
