Geriatric Health Teams: Classifying Models of Professional and Team Functioning

Abstract
Models for professional functioning include the four dimensions of logic of assessment, focus of efforts, locus of responsibility, and pace of action. In turn, models for team functioning include the three dimensions of focus of attention, decision-making style, and beliefs about interprofessional dependence. Using this descriptive system, many differences of opinion or behavior which arise in multidisciplinary settings can be understood as rationally arising from model differences.
