Abstract
The authors demonstrate that the volume of a conventional dielectric resonator antenna can be reduced by approximately half. The technique relies on employing an additional conducting plate in the DRA, which acts as an electric wall. Experimental and simulation results are provided for cylindrical and rectangular dielectric resonator antenna designs. Keywords
