Abstract
Powder patterns were obtained on the cleaved surface of a single crystal of manganese ferrite by using a modification of the normal powder pattern technique. Two types of patterns were observed, a large scale pattern having a `fern'-like structure, and an underlying structure of exceptional fineness and unusual configuration. Keywords
