Abstract
The far-infrared spectra of Poly(vinylidene fluoride) and copolymers with trifluoroethylene have been measured between 10 and 55 cm-1. In this region of the spectrum, the effect of the crystalline phase of the polymer was very small, and interference affected the true absorption of the polymer. After correction of this effect, we detected an unpredicted absorption band clearly visible in the B structure of the copolymers.
