Abstract
The acidogenic and enamel dissolution potential of human milk was compared with bovine milk and solutions of lactose and sucrose. Human milk caused a greater fall in plaque pH than bovine milk. Human milk caused more enamel dissolution than bovine milk. Both plaque pH changes and enamel dissolution were less for bovine and human milk when compared to similar lactose and sucrose solutions. Keywords
