Atomic Oscillator Strengths-II: Neutral Magnesium

The results are presented of extensive calculations of $$f$$-values in the spectrum of Mg I. Allowance for spin–orbit coupling and configuration interaction is made. Some 627 lines, mostly of astrophysical interest, are tabulated. Certain anomalous intensities in the laboratory spectra are explained.
