Abstract
Three aspects of the physics of pair plasmas are discussed. The main emphasis is on the properties of waves in cold, magnetized pair plasmas, where it is shown that the inclusion of an admixture of positrons introduces an additional `cyclotron mode' into the magneto-ionic theory. Thermal effects on these waves are described. The quadratic nonlinear response and the fluid description of a pair plasma are discussed briefly. Keywords
