A structural basis for four distinct elution profiles on concanavalin A – Sepharose affinity chromatography of glycopeptides

Abstract
Affinity chromatography of 12 14C-acetylated glycopeptides on Concanavalin A (Con A)-Sepharose was studied. A minimum of 2 interacting mannose residues are apparently required for binding to ConA-Sepharose; the residues linked to those mannoses can either strengthen or weaken binding.
