Abstract
Summary: A purified antigen was derived from Shigella sonnei by diethylene glycol extraction. It exhibited the chemical properties of a carbohydrate-lipid-complex but displayed a low toxicity with an LD50 in mice greater than 10 mg. It showed good immunogenic capacity in mice. Keywords
