Abstract
Sporotrichosis has been regarded as a rare disease. In recent years, however, cases have been reported with increasing frequency, probably because of an increased alertness on the part of the medical profession. Most cases in this country have been reported from the Mississippi valley; none have been reported from Utah or from this part of the country so far as we have been able to ascertain. We believe that these cases are worthy of reporting because of this fact, and also because in one of our cases a trial with some of the newer antibiotics was carried out without apparent effect. These patients lived in the same county, within two or three miles of each other. REPORT OF CASES Case 1.
