Abstract
Blood groups were determined in 136 patients with rheumatic valvular heart disease, 268 patients with congenital heart disease and 2171 healthy blood donors. No significant difference was found in the proportion of the ABO groups in patients with congenital or rheumatic valvular heart disease when the results were compared to those of the control subjects.
