Abstract
Stopping powers of Al, Au, Mylar, Havar and LR-115 cellulose nitrate nuclear track material for 23Na ions in the energy range 0.4–0.9 MeV/u have been determined by the transmission method. No previous data have been published. The results are compared to the predictions of a recent semiempirical model. The experimental data for Al and Havar are found to fall 6–8% below the predictions. In the case of Au, Mylar and LR-115 the data exceed the semiempirical values by 3–7%.Keywords
