Abstract
A calorimetric study of the reaction between bromine and Co2(CO)8 in carbon tetrachloride gave ΔH1 0[Co2(CO)8(c)]298 =–298·85± 1·1 kcal mol–1 from which an estimate of 33 kcal for the mean cobalt–carbon monoxide bond dissociation energy is derived. Keywords
