Abstract
The decagonal phase of compositions Al68Cu11Co21 and Al69Cu8Co23 was studied by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The electron diffraction patterns exhibited sharp reflections at positions in reciprocal space where, at higher Cu contents, only very weak diffuse intensity occurs. This is discussed in terms of superlattice ordering in the decagonal phase. Keywords
