Abstract
Unbalanced NaCl (without Ca, Mg, etc.) causes the normally positive P. D. across the protoplasm of Halicystis ovalis to reverse in sign, before falling to zero. A suggested mechanism is the alteration of the external protoplasmic surface before the vacuolar surface is affected. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
