RIGHT VENTRICULAR HYPERTROPHY IN THE PNEUMOCONIOSIS OF COALMINERS

Abstract
A series of 50 hearts from cases of coal miners'' pneumoconiosis were dissected and the ventricular wts. detd. A consistent relative increase in the wt. of the right ventricle was noted. The ecg. showed right axis deviation with clockwise rotation of the heart as shown by diphasic ventricular complexes to V6. V2 showed an RSR'' in V2 position 3d intercostal space.Keywords
