Abstract
The relationship between age, dental status and patterns of dental visits was described. Data from a national health survey of 11,014 persons in Norway in 1975 were used. The model showed that although the absolute number of regular attenders decreased with increasing age the relative number among dentate persons increased with increasing age. Different examples of how the model may be used are described. Three explanations were given of the dental attendance pattern among Norwegian adults. Keywords
