Abstract
Clear single crystals of beryl have been obtained at pressures of 10 000 atm and above by melting beryl powder and allowing it to crystallize under the high pressure. The difficulties associated with this method of crystal synthesis are discussed in detail. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
