Abstract
Pyrolytic gas chromatography was used to identify the components of thermosetting acrylic resins. Primary interest was in the hydroxyl functional resins based on hydroxy ethyl methacrylate and hydroxy propyl methacrylate. Identification of all major components was possible in relatively short time using minimal samples. Thermal degradation of the resins was conducted in the helium stream and the pyrolysis products were separated by programmed temperature gas chromatography on polar and nonpolar columns. Keywords
