Abstract
Charcot's term ‘hysteroepilepsy’ implies brain mechanisms in common between epilepsy and hysteria. No such direct link between these two conditions exists. Nevertheless, there are a number of indirect associations between epilepsy and hysteria that can lead to confusion in the differential diagnosis and management of the patient with seizures. Keywords
