Abstract
Differences between analyses of washed and unwashed filbert leaves were found for N, P, Mg, S, B, Mn, Zn and Cu but not for K and Ca. The contamination was attributed primarily to particulates since washing reduced average leaf weight measurements. The magnitude of the contamination varied among orchards and between years. It was concluded that washing leaves is essential for both micro- and macronutrient considerations. Key words: Filberts, leaf washing, macronutrients, micronutrients, contaminationKeywords
