Abstract
A simple objective method of measuring interpupillary distance is described. Normal racial differences in the cephalic index must be considered before diagnosing ocular hypertelorism, and patients should be compared with their own racial norms. Measurement of interpupillary distance has diagnostic value in craniofacial dystoses. Keywords
