Les phosphates du Sahara soudanais

Abstract
Two phosphate beds recently discovered in the Sudan region, French West Africa, represent beds formed in Paleocene or early Eocene time, which have subsequently been partly removed by erosion. They are rich in coprolites and bone debris. Because of a high content of aluminum, iron, and manganese the occurrences are not commercial deposits; the coprolitic elements may warrant exploitation, however.
