Abstract
In the article entitled "Neurologic Syndrome in 25 Workers From an Aluminum Smelting Plant" that appeared in the July 1992 issue of the Archives (1992;152:1443-1448), reanalysis of the neuropsychological data revealed calculation errors. The mean, age-corrected scaled score on the Similarities subtests of the Wechsler Memory Scale—Revised (WAIS-R) was at the 22nd percentile (rather than the sixth percentile). Corrected values for Table 4, which appeared on page 1446, are presented below. There are also corrected values for Table 5, which appeared on page 1446. Twenty-one percent of subjects showed moderate impairment on the Category test for a total impairment of 37% (rather than 26% and 42%, respectively). Six percent showed mild and 17% moderate impairment on the Rhythm test for a total impairment of 23% (rather than 22%, 22%, and 44%, respectively).
