20—THE DRY-JET WET-SPINNING OF AN ACRYLIC-FIBRE YARN

Abstract
A preliminary comparison is carried out of the wet spinning of an acrylic-fibre yarn with an immersed jet and with a dry jet under otherwise similar conditions. The tensile properties of undrawn and drawn yarns are compared for the two series, and the differences are related to the physical structures of the filaments.
