Abstract
Properties of deformed light nuclei are calculated within a relativistic mean-field theory with use of an axially symmetric space lattice. The axial results are in good agreement with the results of previous calculations for spherical nuclei. For deformed nuclei, parameters fitted to describe spherical nuclei fail to reproduce energies and deformations. Keywords
