Abstract
Wax D fraction is a macromolucular peptide-glycolipid consisting of mycolic acid, polysaccharide and peptide. Wax D fraction was extracted, acetylated, and the fractions were separated chromatographically. Alanine, glutamic acid and diamino-pimelic acid were the major amino acids present. The adjuvant activity was not affected by acetylation but the peptide portion was essential. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
