Abstract
On Italian prunes at Cashmere, Wash., in 1948, DDT at 2 lbs. of 50% wettable powder/100 gal, of spray was applied just prior to the appearance of crawlers. Parathion was used at various intervals at 1-2 lbs. of the 25% wettable powder. DDT was very effective for the control of crawlers, but it is slow acting and may allow time for fruit marking. Parathion killed a high percentage of gravid females, reducing the no. of crawlers. A combination of the materials is suggested to prevent fruit marking under conditions of severe infestation. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
