Abstract
A recurrent infiltrative ameloblastoma of the mandible with a predominantly “follicular pattern” of the epithelial component is studied. The stroma contains abundant myofibroblasts; these cells have been described in benign and malignant infiltrative processes. This raises the question of the relationship between the presence of myofibroblasts and the aggressive behavior of a neoplasm. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
